I wanted to honour the late great Whitney Houston - one of the greatest voices in pop music. Her death today was both a shock, but not completely unexpected.

Possessing breathtaking beauty and a strong, soulful and impassioned voice, there was nothing that Whitney Houston could not sing, and sing powerfully.
Her flame shone oh so brightly for a couple of decades, before personal & health issues damaged her irrevocably. She will, however always be remembered.

Today, i want to use one of her first recordings and one of her best vocal performances, on the Michael Masser/Jeffrey Osborne composition "All at Once". As the lyric wistfully points out: "All at once, I finally took a moment and i'm realizing that, you're not coming back, and it finally hit me - all at once"

Whitney bought immeasurable joy to a generation of fans. Today we feel the loss: all at once!
